MAO at Symposium Reactivate Sarajevo
Symposium is a part of Reactivate Sarajevo iniciative that discovers and engages with the latent problems as well as potentials of Sarajevo to create alternative ways for its development using spatial, socio-economic, cultural and programmatic tools. The inicaitaive sees Sarajevo as a citiy, where today numerous urgent urban challenges exist and can also represents an urban laboratory where multidimensional research and practice can work in synergy.
The Symposium taking place on September 23rd, 2016 at City Hall, Sarajevo, will include lectures and roundtable discussions with various stakeholders, from community leaders and academic partners, to international and local experts, government representatives, and participants from the non-profit sector, like MAO director and commisioner of Slovenian pavilion at La Biennale 2016 Matevž Čelik, Lucy Dinnen of Victoria and Albert Museum, London, Vladan Djokic, Dean of Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade and Hubert Klumpner, Urban-Think Tank and Chair of Architecture and Urban Design, ETH Zurich.
Symposium will summarize previous activities, compare research and practice methods, and define next possible steps. More information.
The event coinciudes with the opening of the exhibition of the same name at 6.30 pm at Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of La Biennale di Venezia Collateral Events. More on the exhibition.
