The Stories of Ljubljana Castles
1. 1. 2014—31. 12. 2017
The project The Stories of Ljubljana Castles connects four castles in Ljubljana, public institution working in the field of cultural heritage: Ljubljana’s Castle, Fužine Castle (Museum of Architecture and Design), Cekin Castle (National Museum of Contemporary History) and Tivoli Castle (the International Centre of Graphic Arts).
Castles awaken the spirit of exploration in people, but what arouses curiosity are not only the stories of hidden treasures, underground passages, mysterious towers, and gloomy dungeons, but also the new contents that enrich old spaces. In this respect, the four castles included in the Stories of Ljubljana’s Castles project offer a fresh and new castle experience: all of them keep extremely interesting museum collections.
As part of a project, attractively priced combined ticket to four of Ljubljana’s castles is available that enables viewing of the current contents offered by the participating castles*:
– Adults: 11,00 €
– Students, pupils, pensioners and groups of 15 persons or more: 5,5 €
– persons with motor or sensory disabilities and children under 7 years accompanied by parents: free.
* A ticket enables viewing of the current contents offered by the paricipating castles. Tickets are valid for 3 days.
Tickets can be purchased at the sales points of each of the participating castles and at Tourist Information Centres.
Discover an interweaving of the historical and the contemporary, and set out on the path of the four Ljubljana castles.
