MAO holds a rich collection of award-winning work from Biennials of Industrial Design, as well as a rich collection of documentation on the organization of biennials, both representing the history of design in Slovenia. On the 50th anniversary of the first Biennial of Industrial Design, MAO will organize an exhibition on the Biennial’s history, with its problems and topics linked to those of the 24th Biennial of Design, thereby shedding light on important changes and movements our society, but above all our everyday life and consequentially also design, have experienced in the last half century. The two events will join the past with the present and the future, and shape a possible future for the Biennial as well as define its role at Slovenian as well as international level.
