On the basis of the declaration of an epidemic of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Slovenia and the suggested guidelines of the government, NIJZ, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture and other competent authorities and on the basis of coordination of the Board of Directors of State Museums concerning the occurrence and spread of the new disease, the following guidelines take effect in MAO from 13.03.2020 until further notice:

 

The Museum is closed from 13.03.2020 until further notice. Information about the reopening and future events in the museum will be announced on our website www.mao.si, on MAO social media and the phone number 01 548 42 80.

 

Online services: MAO will in its highest possible degree ensure access to our collection, provide information and other services for users online. Employees of the museum will be working from home and will be available to clients during the closure via e-mail.

 

We encourage all visitors to abide by the guidelines of national health services. In this way alone can we contribute our part to the normalization of conditions. We have to take into consideration not only our own health, but the health of others, especially vulnerable groups such as the old, sick and less resilient. Thus our responsibility is that much greater.
