Dnevna Living Room

One of the major problems related to the social integration of asylum seekers and refugees is the access to the labour market. This project gives asylum seekers and refugees the opportunity to cooperate with established Slovenian designers and craftsmen and work on prototypes of craft goods, which will provide opportunity for intercultural dialogue, allow personal contacts between people and raise awareness on the contribution of refugees to the development of society.
As a result of creative synergy between asylum seekers/refugees and local artists, their products will be used to decorate “the living room” – an exhibition space that will double as a place of hospitality, openness and acceptance. Asylum seekers and refugees, co-authors, will act as hosts, while visitors will assume the role of guests. Individual meetings and direct contacts will create a personal experience and new perspective on the issue of migrations.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of events hosted by asylum seekers/refugees.
the exhibition is part of BIO 25 Associated Projects.
