Plečnik’s kiosk, Prešeren Square, until August 25

The exhibition presents a series of photos by young designer and visual artist Lin Gerkman, also a member of BIO27 team Garnitura. The images were made following the recognition of Jože Plečnik’s works for his human-centred design approach based on an architectural dialogue between his interventions and the existing older city by the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gerkman examines the details of Plečnik’s architecture uncovering the interventions and wear marks – evolving material transformations formed through adaptive reuse. The photographs document the visual expressions of changing historical circumstances, social and economic conditions.

During BIO27 Plečnik’s kiosk at Prešeren Square has been transformed into a showroom. The pop-up exhibitions, which you can explore during the day or night, present a cross-section of Garnitura’s interdisciplinary practices.
