Participate in URBAN HARVEST!
9. 10. 2015
Take part in Japanese knotweed picking and a workshop devoted to the possibilities and opportunities this invasive non-native plant offers!
Participation in the workshop is free of charge! Bring your gardening equipment (trimming scissors, hoe, knife, garden spade and work gloves) and put on comfortable shoes. We will provide a hot meal!
With this urban harvest we wish to encourage participatory practices and economic activities in which this invasive plant species plays a central role. At the end of the project, the products from the raw material that will be collected during this workshop will be exhibited at the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO).
An international open call for the second event – workshop on the uses of japanese knotweed will be announced.
A FRIENDLY ENEMY – THE JAPANESE KNOTWEED AND ITS USE IN PAPER-MAKING project is part of the project Hidden potentials of Traditional Industries, which is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
