Lecture by Philippe Starck at Moscow Design Week

15. 10. 2013

The exhibition Silent Revolutions at Moscow Design Week has been complemented by a lecture delivered by the famous designer Philippe Starck. Together with the Slovenian company Riko, Philippe Starck developed prefabricated and technologically advanced P. A. T. H. houses. At the lecture, Starck will present his creative genius and his consistently interweaving ethics and aesthetics. He will also speak about his committment to sustainable contemporary design that is responsible to the environment and users. These are the principles that guided him in designing the new prefabricated and technologically advanced P. A. T. H. house.

P. A. T. H. – prefabricated accessible technological homes were developed in collaboration between Philippe Starck and Riko, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of prefabricated wooden buildings. This system of industrially manufactured turnkey homes combines timeless design, high technology, comfort and respect for the environment. It offers a wide range of house sizes, numbers of rooms, floors, and multiple open floor plans. Personalisation options come in the form of various interior finishes and fixtures, such as lighting fixtures and fittings, floor finishes, bathroom tiles, etc. Energy conservation and responsible use of resources is ensured by employing a wide array of renewable energy-production devices, like photovoltaic solar panels, wind turbines and heat pumps.
