The fashion show starts at 16.00, 18.00 (free entry) and 20.00 (by invitation only)
Following the example of collaborations in contemporary fashion, design students at University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering designed interdisciplinary collections as part of their final graduation projects. They explored different fields and opened up new topics, collaborated with different generations of professionals as well as local communities, various producers and craftsmen, institutions and societies, students from other faculties, friends, relatives, artists and each other. On top of everything else, students were also invited to collaborate in designing fashion accessories for Huawei.
Knowledge and experience in these projects were shared back and forth, as every collaboration brings something positive and new for everyone involved.
The runway show was organised in collaboration with MAO Museum of Architecture and Design, with volunteer models starring in the show. The Academy of Music took over the musical dimension of the show, Ljubljana Secondary School of Hairstyling took care of the hairstyles, students of the Higher School of Applied Arts (VIST) saw to the makeup, and the printed materials, photographs and video were produced in cooperation with Chair of Information and Graphic Arts Technology, FNSE.
The runway show is part of the celebrations marking the centennial of the University of Ljubljana.

The teasing, roguish and provocative title of the student project for the Textile Design programme at the first- and second-cycle level opened the doors to many new ties and collaborations. The students explored the LOCAL – urban, rural, family – environment, identifying the visual starting points for their collections of fabrics produced in different techniques, in Jacquard weave, digitally printed and screen printed. The textile design collections were on show in January 2019 at the world’s largest fair for decorative fabrics, Heimtextil in Frankfurt.
