At this year’s biennial of Design, Lavička collection is presented in the chapter Knowledge as a creative collection of knowledge. The Bohuslav Lavička collection of pharmaceutical and medical items brings together books in the fields of humanities, philosophy, natural sciences and medical sciences and pharmaceutical-medical accessories.

 

Selected pieces of the collection are presented at the central exhibition in the former castle chapel, and part of the installation is an audio recording of the custodian of the collection, Davor Poljanšek, where his relation to the collected books can be heard.

 

Mr. Poljanšek will accompany the guided tour at MAO and present his collection on Sunday, December 29, at 11.00. 

 

You are also invited to take a guided tour of the entire collection, which is located in the Lek office building, on January 8 and 29 at 17.00 and on National Cultural Day, February 8, when tours are delivered throughout the day.
