Museum in the Community 4
22 April – 31 October 2026
Museum in the Community is a programme developed by the Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with residents and institutions from the Nove Fužine neighbourhood. The project aims to make museum content more accessible and inclusive for vulnerable groups, while encouraging intergenerational collaboration in addressing social challenges. Through this initiative, we have broadened the museum’s reach and forged connections between the neighbourhood and the museum. The programme fosters encounters, conversations and collaborations between local residents, creators, museum visitors and professionals. It also explores ways of making themes of architecture and design more accessible to our visitors in an inclusive and participatory manner.
To launch the new programme season, we partnered with the CONA Korak, CONA Fužine and CONA Most youth and children’s day centres, the Nove Jarše Production School, the PLYA+ Ljubljana programme, and the duo The Most Beautiful City in the World to create the exhibition The Future Belongs to the Young.
Museum in the Community offers a diverse range of events and workshops that promote intergenerational collaboration between individuals and institutions.
