The project Baked Furniture represents the authors’ desire to process packaging waste by themselves and so make the processing procedure more accessible and understandable to an average user. Using a »baking tray«, waste plastics is first melted into a semi-product – a plastic board. This basic material is then used as a raw material for the production of different objects and products, with the aim to raise the value of this unwanted material.

Apart from final products, the exhibition will also present the tools and the production process.
