11.00 Exhibition Guided Tour

Guided Tour through the exhibition The Structure of Modernity: Edvard Ravnikar and His Quests.  This time the curator of the exhibition Miloš Kosec and co-curator Susanna Campeotto will be guiding us through the exhibition halls.

Susanna Campeotto focused on Ravnikar’s war memorials, which she studies as a part of her research  at the IUAV University in Venice. The topic of her PhD  assignment are Ravnikar’s war memorials dedicated to the victims of nazism and fascism, built in Draga pri Begunje in Gorenjska region, Vojsko and Goreljek, which until today have not been the subject of critical consideration considering the architectural point of view. Meeting Miloš Kosec in the course of her archives research gave birth to a constructive dialogue and encouraged her to participate in the preparation of the exhibition The Structure of Modernity: Edvard Ravnikar and His Quests.

11.00 Creative workshop: Lego city (for kids)

We will walk through the exhibition The Structure of Modernity: Edvard Ravnikar and His Quests, see some of the key Ravnikar’s works and talked about them. Then we will build our own dream lego city with lego bricks. We will also learn about the work of the architects and urban planners who plan a city that is friendly to all of its residents. Within the hustle and bustle of the city, they place safe walking and cycling paths, squares, playgrounds… We will find out which buildings are absolutely necessary in the city and whether the height of the buildings is really important.
