Panel discussion: The BIO27 journey; How can we make cultural production more sustainable?
Discussion / 27. 5. 2022 / 11:00
MAO, Rusjanov trg 7, Ljubljana
From the outset, BIO27 decided to research how we can make a more sustainable cultural production. The curators dedicated one of the five production platform commissions, by team Futuring, to analyse BIO’s activities and investigate the ways in which the Biennial’s impact can be reduced and how we can capture these learnings to share with designers and cultural institutions.
This short programme of talks will explore the landscape of cultural production and current state of best practice for low impact. Museums safeguard future generations’ engagement in cultural heritage, and, at the same time, they are actors themselves, contributing to a socially, ecologically, and culturally conscious society. This knowledge-sharing session includes the launch of Futuring’s Toolkit aimed at helping culture professionals and designers to create strategies for reducing their own environmental impact.
