Museum of Architecture and Design is honored to serve for the second time as the commissioner of the Slovenian presentation at this year’s 16th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. The Slovenian presentation will explore the topics of Landscape, Water, and Architecture. Water—from rivers to glacial lakes, waterfalls, mountain creeks and gorges, intermittent lakes, oxbow lakes, marshlands, and karst and thermal springs—along with drinking water reserves and the sea is one of the key factors that shapes and distinguishes the character of Slovenian landscapes.
As part of this project, we are announcing an Instagram photo contest. The subject of the contest is water sources. The photos submitted should be uploaded to the entrants’ Instagram profiles with the hashtag #livingwithwater.
The theme of the photos submitted should be (Slovenian) water sources, such as freshwater springs, creeks, fountains, and wells.
The deadline for submission is May 20th, 2018. At that time a jury will select the ten best photos tagged with the #livingwithwater hashtag, which will enter the final selection. The ten finalists will receive a copy of the publication that will be appear as part of the Slovenian presentation.
From among the ten finalists, one winner will be selected. The entrant with the winning photo will receive two tickets for free bus transport from Ljubljana to Venice and free entrance to the preview of the 16th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale (May 24th–25th).
Entrants must be eighteen or older and followers of the official Instagram profile of the Slovenian pavilion at the Venice Biennale (@livingwithwater). The competition is open to entrants regardless of their permanent address or nationality. The entrants must be the sole creators of the works submitted. The works submitted should not have been previously published. Each entrant can submit up to three photos.
