Wednesday, 25 May at 17.00 I Centre of Ljubljana: Plečnik’s House and Prešeren Square

The BIO27 pre-opening event will be marked by the opening of the renovated Plečnik’s Kiosk located on Ljubljana’s Prešeren Square. The multidisciplinary team Garnitura took part in the renovation that was based on Plečnik’s principles and his architectural language.

Communicating Modern Architecture project is integrated into Ljubljana’s city center and presented through various design products, city maps, guided tours, lectures, and public events. During the biennial, Plečnik’s Kiosk has been during the duration of BIO27 transformed into a dedicated info point for the architect’s legacy as well as an exhibition and event space presenting the work of the five multidisciplinary teams of BIO27 Production Platform.

Another important part of the Garnitura’s project is the curated path along Plečnik’s city axis. Garnitura designed unique points that lead the visitors to explore Plečnik’s heritage with the help of their smartphones.
